The new features allow users to discover and share TV and movie recommendations from their most trusted, sought after critics: their friends. Additionally, movies and TV episodes in the VUDU library are now available as a default on-demand service, increasing the library of content and consumer choice.

Amping up Recommendations and Social Information
With Facebook integration, users get an aggregated view of movies their friends have recently enjoyed. By signing into Facebook within the Fanhattan app, Fanhattan automatically populates a list of suggested movies and TV shows drawn from titles recently Liked by friends. Once connected to a Facebook account, Fanhattan continually updates with new recommendations every time a friend Likes a movie or TV series on Facebook. And the sharing goes both ways; Fanhattan now lets users share their favorite TV and movie choices with friends on Facebook by enabling users to post their Likes directly from Fanhattan. Additionally, Fanhattan has also integrated the official Twitter streams and Facebook pages for TV shows, movies and celebrities, enabling users to easily get the latest on their favorite entertainment without leaving the Fanhattan app.
VUDU Added
In addition to making the Fanhattan experience social, the company also announced today that VUDU has been added to the default list of playback sources on the iPad. VUDU has created a name for delivering high quality entertainment through many different platforms and this integration brings the VUDU catalog to Fanhattan users at the flick of the wrist. VUDU is the newest service to be integrated by Fanhattan, which already works with iTunes, Hulu Plus, Netflix and the ABC Player.
Expanding Fanhattan beyond the iPad
Fanhattan’s ability to let you know where you can stream, download or go see a movie is now available beyond the iPad app. When a user recommends a movie or TV show through Fanhattan, a personalized window into the Fanhattan content is created on Facebook, the web or wherever the user is sharing their favorites. Now consumers who are not Fanhattan users can easily see where they can download, stream or go see the movie or TV show.
